Cástor Salgado Soneira, graduated in Chemistry at the University Complutense of Madrid (Spain) in 2013. He mastered in a High Specialization Master degree in Plastics and Rubber at the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology (ICTP-CSIC) in 2015. Doctor in Science and Technology in 2020 by Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo. He has research experience in organic chemistry, particularly at synthesis and characterization of organic compounds, as well as the development of biodegradable polymers and their nanocomposites for coatings. He has published 10 SCI scientific papers, one book chapter and co-author in three diffusion articles, published in “Revista de Plásticos Modernos” (Spain). He has participated in international and national projects. At ICV, he is actively working in the DIANA project, by developing modified clays for new active solutions to increase the sustainability of plastic food packaging.
